About the event

Join Peyton, owner and baker of A Girl With Nice Buns microbakery, to learn the basics of sourdough. 

This beginner level class will help you learn the basics of all things sourdough - and foundational bread techniques - as we walk step-by-step through sourdough baking. You’ll also get the chance to sample some of our delicious sourdough breads. 

Students will learn:

-How to start, feed, and maintain an active sourdough starter

-Preparing a starter/levain for baking 

-Ingredient selection

-Measuring by weight 

-Kneading/mixing

-Shaping and scoring

-Baking and timing

Your class will run approximately two hours and you’ll walk away with a printed guide, recipes, notes, and your very own starter seeded by the bakery’s own starter!
